Big trips to Frederick and the National Zoo

 We left our mission boundaries just a few times; two of those were to pick up new cars. In early May, we drove to Frederick. Norm drove the new car and Debbie drove the other mission car back home.  We took time to see the museum at the Civil War Monocacy Battlefield. Later in the summer, we took Coles to Ellicott City, had a lovely lunch, and they, and Norm, each drove a new car and Debbie drove the mission car back to the office. For Debbie, this drive through the green Maryland countryside (not taking the freeway) was one of the loveliest memories of the mission.

We visited the National Zoo with Coles in May, and again with Emily, Anna, Holly and Rachel Zobell and children in June. The pandas had to go back to China in late 2023.
